This is the outdoor half of the Authority range: the same warm beige concrete face, but pressed to 20mm and given a structured surface instead of a smooth matt one. That thickness is what lets it be laid dry on gravel, sand or adjustable pedestals as well as bonded to a slab, and the texture is what earns it an R11 slip rating — the difference that matters once the surface is wet.
Choosing this slab. Use it for patios, balconies, garden paths and the strip immediately outside a set of patio doors, where a standard 8mm indoor tile has no business being. It is frost resistant, so an Irish winter is not a problem, and the abrasion rating steps up to PEI 5 for outdoor traffic and grit. Lay it with a 5mm joint — much wider than indoors — to allow for movement. The 60x60cm box holds two slabs and the 120x60cm box holds one; both weigh about 30kg, so a 10 m² patio is roughly fourteen boxes and around 420kg of material to move.
The reason to buy it alongside the indoor Authority Beige is continuity: run the 8mm tile through the kitchen and the 20mm slab out onto the terrace and the floor reads as one surface through the glazing, with only the joint width changing. Ordered per box from Paradyż in Poland — allow 2-3 weeks.
