Granite kitchen sinks are made from crushed granite bonded with resin. The result is a sink that is quieter than steel, resists scratches and stains, and comes in colours to match your worktop. Choose from single, 1.5 and double bowls by Deante and GROHE, with or without a drainer, in inset, undermount and flush-mount fittings.
Granite composite is hard-wearing, but it isn't indestructible. Rinse it after use, and wipe it occasionally with the cleaner recommended by the manufacturer. Avoid bleach and abrasive pads, which dull the surface. Dark colours show limescale more than light ones in hard-water areas.
Check that the sink fits your base unit by shopping by cabinet size: every sink lists the minimum cabinet width it needs. You'll also need a waste kit and a kitchen tap.
