Ritual Taupe is the warmest of the three — a greige stone face with soft pale veining that drifts across the tile rather than cutting through it. It is the Ritual colour to choose when a grey marble would read too cold: against oak, brass or off-white it stays warm without turning beige. Rectified, matt, in 60x60cm, 120x60cm and 120x120cm, with a matching bullnose step tile for stairs.
Choosing this tile. R10 suits floors and walls in a bathroom, kitchen, hall or living room, and it takes underfloor heating — but it is not the rating for a wet-room shower floor or a terrace. For outside, the 20mm Ritual Taupe terrace slab is structured, R11 and frost resistant. Rectified edges mean a 2mm joint (1.5mm on the 60x60cm), and a 6 m² bathroom floor in 60x60cm is about five boxes with 10% for cuts. Because the veining is part of the design, dry-lay two or three boxes before fixing and spread the lighter and darker faces around — Ritual is V2, so a floor laid straight out of one box in order can end up patchy.
Taupe is the one that most often goes on a bathroom wall as well as the floor, which is why the 120x60cm is the format we sell most of it in. Ordered per box from Paradyż in Poland — allow 2-3 weeks; the 120x120cm box is 53kg, a two-person lift needing a levelling system.
