Authority Beige is a warm, sand-toned concrete look in glazed porcelain — a quiet, lightly clouded face with no pattern repeat to line up, which is what makes it work over large uninterrupted floors. It is the softest of the three Authority colours, and the one that keeps a north-facing hall or bathroom from reading cold. Rectified on all four edges and available here in 60x60cm, 120x60cm and 120x120cm, with a matching bullnose step tile for stairs.
Choosing this tile. The R10 rating covers floors and walls in a bathroom, kitchen, hall or living room, but it is not a rating for a wet-room shower floor or an outdoor terrace — for those use the 20mm Authority Beige terrace slab, which is structured, R11 and frost resistant. All three formats are fine over underfloor heating. Rectified edges mean a 2mm grout joint indoors (1.5mm on the 60x60cm); a typical 6 m² bathroom floor in 60x60cm works out at about five boxes once you allow the usual 10% for cuts. Authority is V2 for shade variation, so order the whole job at once — a later box can land noticeably lighter or darker.
The 120x120cm is the format most people come for and the one to think about hardest: the box holds two tiles and weighs 53kg, so it is a two-person lift, and at that size a levelling system is not optional if you want a flat floor. We order Authority per box direct from Paradyż in Poland, so allow 2-3 weeks.
