Palatina Gloss is a white Carrara-style marble effect wall tile in a 30x90cm rectified format, made in Spain by Halcon Cerámicas (Palatina collection, ref. 2-15271). The ground is a soft warm white with sparse grey veining under a high-gloss glaze, so it reads as white across the room and only shows the marble up close: bright and reflective like a plain white, with enough movement that a fully tiled bathroom does not feel clinical.
Choosing this tile. White body ceramic, so it is for walls only: bathroom, en-suite, shower walls, kitchen splashback. Lay horizontally in a brick bond or stacked, or vertically to add height. Grout at 2mm in white or pale grey keeps the veining reading as one surface. About four boxes covers a 5 m² wall with 10% for cuts. Halcon prints this tile in 10 different faces with slight shade variation (V2), so mix boxes as you go and the wall will not repeat. The Giga Decor (ref. 2-15636) is the same 30x90cm tile with a faceted 3D relief over the same veining, sold per tile, so a single course or a niche can be picked out without buying a full box. The same marble is made in a matt glaze as Palatina Matt with the Nazca Decor.
