Archicross Base Black is the plainest tile in the Archicross concept in deep graphite-black — one flat, even tone, no veining, no pattern. Paradyż position the Base line as the minimalist end of the range: the muted character of concrete, stripped of ornament.
The finish is the slip rating. Matt is R10, Structure A is R11 and Structure B is R12, the same black in all three, so the rating can change underfoot without the floor changing appearance. Matt for dry floors and walls, Structure A for a shower floor or wet room, Structure B for commercial grip. Worth weighing first: a plain black matt floor is the least forgiving surface in the range for dust, footmarks and dried splashes, because there is no pattern to break them up. If the bathroom is busy, the mottled Concept Black hides daily marks far better for the same money.
What “structure” actually means here. Structure A and B are not a printed effect — the surface is physically raised. Structure B carries a fine, dense grain across the whole face, closer to fine grit paper than to a smooth kitchen wall tile; you feel it under a bare foot, and that relief is what gives the grip. On black it also catches the light, so the structured faces read slightly lighter than the flat Matt in the same colour.
Working out quantity. Every format covers 1.43 m² per box at 26.6 kg — a 6 m² floor is five boxes with the usual ~10% cutting allowance. Rectified edges take a 2 mm joint; suits underfloor heating. Order the whole job in one batch.
