There are four main types of shower doors on the market in Ireland:

• Wall-hung (or wall-mounted) toilets. These toilets appear to be hanging from the wall, but they are installed on a hidden installation frame that makes them feel like they are floating on a wall.
• Back-to-wall toilets in which the cistern is covered and sits flat against a wall or piece of furniture.
• Close-coupled toilets are similar to a back-to-wall model, but in this case the cistern sits directly on top of the toilet seat/pan.
• Rimless toilets are flat on the inside, making them more hygienic and much easier to clean.

Most commonly, toilets are made of porcelain. This material makes toilets easy to clean, durable, and resistant to scratches and stains.

However, you can also find toilets made of stainless steel and even plastic.

A typical toilet system contains a bowl, toilet seat, tank, flush plate, and in the case of a wall-hung toilet, an installation frame.
