At first sight they seem similar, but a bathroom radiator is designed to heat the whole room, while a heated towel rail is designed to warm and dry towels. Most of our bathroom radiators combine both — a ladder design that heats the room and your towels.
A heated towel rail adds some heat to a small bathroom, but wasn't designed as a primary radiator. That said, most of our bathroom radiators feature a towel-rail design, so one appliance does both.
Panel, towel/ladder, column and electric radiators — choose by heat output, style and whether you want integrated towel bars. For electric-only heating, look for electric or dual-fuel models.
Small radiators start around €130; larger and towel radiators run to €300+ depending on size, material and finish.
Heat output for your room size, the type (radiator vs towel rail), the space available, and moisture resistance for a humid bathroom. You'll also need valves to connect a water-based radiator.
