Matt suits dry floors and walls, Structure A a shower floor or wet room, Structure B commercial grip: changing rooms, pool surrounds, a ramp. The surface is physically raised — Structure B carries a fine, dense grain across the whole face, closer to a fine grit paper than to the smooth tile you would put on a kitchen wall. You feel it under a bare foot, and that relief is what produces the grip.
